At 155m high, your views across London are fantastic. Coming in at mid-high for the area, Sky Garden gives you uninterrupted scenes almost at the quality of The Shard, Horizon 22 and The Gherkin who have views many floors higher whilst the London Eye sits below.  

Restaurants and Bars

Bars

Sky Garden’s two bars are: Sky Pod Bar and City Garden Bar.

Sky Pod Bar is located right next to Sky Garden’s floor to ceiling windows for beautiful views all night - with the option to enjoy them from the terrace if you wish. Sky Pod Bar has live djs, drinks of every kind and a range of tasty bar snacks, such as gyozas, tacos, charcuterie and smoked tuna. The dress code is smart casual (no flip flops, football shirts, sportswear etc.) and a cover up is recommended as the terrace is usually open for use.

City Garden Bar is a smaller space on Sky Garden’s top floor, serving a wide range of drinks plus sharing platters like charcuterie boards, tacos and sliders plus small bites like nuts and olives.

City Garden Bar and Sky Pod Bar are popular destinations so it’s recommended you book a table or tickets for nights when there’s live music  – which is most nights.

Both bars are open every day, with City Garden Bar open from 11am every day whilst Sky Pod Bar opens at 7am on weekdays and 8am on weekends.

Apart from Sundays when it closes early at 6pm, City Garden Bar closes at 12am on every other day. Sky Pod Bar closes later at 1am Wednesday to Saturday and 12am Sunday to Tuesday.

Restaurants

Sky Garden is home to 3 highly recommended restaurants: Darwin Brasserie, Fenchurch Restaurant and Fenchurch Terrace.

Located beside Sky Garden’s floor to ceiling windows, Darwin Brasserie sells the usual brasserie fare, such as: steak, burgers and fish and chips.

Meanwhile, delivering 360 views from its central position, Fenchurch Restaurant offers fine dining at a higher price point, serving everything from sea bass to grilled lobster and torched jerk salmon.

Fenchurch Terrace is an intimate, relaxed bar  space at the top of Sky Garden, where you can dine on snacks like gyoza, sliders and chicken satay as you enjoy your drinks.

Darwin Brasserie and Fenchurch Restaurant are open all day whilst Fenchurch Terrace is only open in the evening from 6pm – 10.15pm on weekdays and 9pm – 10.15pm on Saturdays.  

Darwin Brasserie opens at 7.30am on weekdays and 8am on weekends.  Closing time is 10pm Sunday to Thursday and 10.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Be careful though because between 10 – 11.30am and 4.30pm – 5pm Darwin Brasserie is closed on weekends this switches to 9.30am – 11.30am and 3.30 – 5.30pm.

Fenchurch Restaurant opens from 11.45am – 10.15pm with an afternoon closure from 2.45pm – 5.45pm switching 3.30pm – 5.30pm on weekends.

Botanical Gardens: London’s Highest Public Garden

The reviving botanical garden areas at Sky Garden were designed by Gillespies, award-winning London landscape designers. The subterranean gardens feature striking plants from the Mediterranean and Southern Africa. Drawing inspiration from ancient forests, Sky Garden is home to 3 garden collections: The Shade Tolerant Forest, The Transition Zone and Florals.

The Fenchurch Building: 20 Fenchurch Street

The Fenchurch Building, officially called 20 Fenchurch Street, was designed by Rafael Vinoly, a renowned architect known for his distinct yet highly functional, curvaceous, modernist buildings constructed with state of the art engineering. 20 Fenchurch Street was completed in 2014 and is owned by Lee Kum Kee Groups.

One of the Fenchurch building’s most distinct features is that it gets wider, the higher up you go, finishing with the curved roof of Sky Garden at the top - features which together create the building’s famous walkie talkie shape.

20 Fenchurch Street is 160m tall with 38 floors, 32 of which are home to prime London office space. Beyond office space and Sky Garden at the top of the building, the  Fenchurch Building has a huge double height reception on entrance and two lower ground floors.

Opening Times

Sky Gardens is open from 10am - 6pm, Monday – Friday and 11am – 9pm on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Sky Garden’s bars remain open throughout the night, closing at 12am, with late opening on Fridays and Saturdays until 1am. Some bars and eateries also do early bird opening between 8am and 8.30am.

You can both party to the early hours and set up with ease because Sky Garden is available to hire between 6am and 6am the following day.

If you need any parking on the day, there’s no parking in the Fenchurch Building but there is a car park close by.
