What are save the dates for?

Featuring only the date and location of your wedding, save the dates give loved ones plenty of time to prepare for your wedding, helping to ensure maximum attendance on your wedding day.

Formal wedding invitations aren’t sent out until much closer to the date, so save the dates allow you to notify guests about your wedding as early as you wish. For this reason they’re hugely popular for contemporary weddings which often involve lots of organisation for things like flights and accomodation.

Why use save the dates?

Save the dates are a useful part of wedding planning because once they’re sent, the pressure of notifying everyone about your wedding is off your mind and you can turn your attention to your wedding details.

Save the dates only need the names of you both, the date of your wedding and its rough location. That information is enough for guests to keep your wedding date free.

With only the wedding location and date on them, your save the date cards can be sent as early as you wish.

When should I send save the date cards?

The average time to send save the dates is around 7-8 months before the wedding but you can send them as early as you wish. For destination weddings 10-12 months before will give guests extra time to plan.

What can I personalise on your save the dates?

Our save the dates are personalised and customised so beyond personalisation with your wedding details you can also make as many custom changes to design as you wish.

After you make your purchase, we will email over the first proof of your design within 2 days. When you receive that first proof of the original design, as it is shown here on the website, we will ask you to let us know what you want changed and request your wedding details for personalisation.

You do not have to make changes to the design. Custom changes include changes to the font, colour, ribbon, text language and more.

You have plenty of time to think about customisation because no information is collected during ordering so your purchase is stress-free.

How does personalisation work?

Our process is hassle-free and simple. Once you’ve made your purchase, you can relax. We’ll email you within two days with a proof of the original you ordered. At this point, we'll ask for your details for personalisation and any changes you want to make to the design. It's at this point that you can specify any changes you want.

We’ll make the required adjustments and proofing will continue until you have the design the way you want it. Once the final proof is approved by you, we will print and send your custom save the dates by safe tracked delivery.
