The grade I-listed building is a stunning, spacious building that took 15 years to build. With the original design created in 1924 for what at he time was a hugely successful banking company The Ned has a spacious, luxurious interior that’s beautifully furnished throughout with the very best materials, chandeliers, high ceilings, lots of light and sensational 1920s styling.

On the ground floor, in what was once the grand banking floor sits eight of the Ned’s restaurants, with each occupying the space of the former bank tellers. At the centre is The Nickel Stage featuring everything from live jazz to blues, day and night.

Cecconi’s is a popular Italian restaurant serving up all your favourites, from pizza to pasta and a much-loved Sunday roast plus brunch and breakfast. Cecconi’s at The Ned London is open from 7am to 12 midnight from Tuesday to Thursday, 12pm to 12 midnight on Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays and 12pm to 11pm on Wednesdays.
Cecconi’s Feast at The Ned London
Every Sunday you can get to taste a wide range of delicious dishes at Cecconi’s The Ned Feast. Served in collaboration with Malibu Kitchen, from delicious salads to roast meats, seafood, crispy roast potatoes, silky gravy, Italian desserts and so much more, The Ned feast is the perfect way to do lunch in style but at £120 a head (including a glass of Prosecco), it’s a treat for special Sundays.
Malibu Kitchen at The Ned London
Malibu Kitchen draws inspiration from sunny California’s fresh menus, serving up exciting salads, smoothies, poke bowls, burgers, tacos, breakfast and brunch. Malibu Kitchen is open from 7am to 3pm from Tuesday to Friday and 9am to 3pm on Saturdays. On Sundays and Mondays Malibu Kitchen is closed.

Cantina Malibu is part of Malibu Kitchen, delivering increased options for Mexican-inspired dishes like carnitas and tostadas and short rib.
Millie’s Lounge at The Ned London
Millie’s Lounge at the Ned is a popular restaurant and bar serving favourite British classics and afternoon tea. From fish and chips to shepherds pie, cheese soufflé and sticky toffee pudding, there’s something for everyone. Millie’s Lounge is open from 6am to late on weekdays and 7am to late on weekends.

Kaia is an Asian-inspired restaurant serving fusion foods from across the Pacific plus brunch. From crispy duck to gyoza, sushi, Hawaiian chicken, vegan dishes and coconut rice, there’s something for every taste. Kaia is open from 12 midday to 12 midnight every day except Sundays when it’s closed.

Cafe Sou and Bar is a Parisian-style cafe serving up classic French fare, including coffee, baguettes, pastries, charcuterie boards, wine and cakes.
Lutyens Grill at The Ned London
Is a fine dining grill serving delicious grilled meats, fish and seafood plus salads, chips, puds and more. Lutyens Grill is open daily from 12pm to 12 midnight.
The Parlour at The Ned London
The Parlour is a fine dining restaurant serving classic favourites such as lamb wellington, oysters, Caesar salad, lobster, aged beef and truffle mash. The Parlour is open from every evening from 6pm to 11pm, with late closing at 12 midnight from Friday to Saturday. On Sundays The Parlour is closed.
Electric Bar and Diner at The Ned London
The Electric Bar and Diner delivers classic American favourites including burgers, fries, waffles, shrimps, brunch, breakfast and more. The Electric Bar and Diner is open daily from 8am to 10.30pm.

Upstairs, The Ned has a range of elegant rooms for private hire which once belonged to the managers of the bank. Each room offers a beautiful event space with wood-panelled walls and exquisite chandeliers.

About The Ned, 27 Poultry, City of London
The brainchild of Soho House founder, Nick Jones, The Ned was transformed into a hotel in 2017 and is owned by Ron Burkle of Soho House.
The original building at 27-35 Poultry, completed in 1939 was owned by Midland Bank who were a global leader at the time. Taking 15 years to build, the original Midland Bank building was designed by famous architect Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1924. Lutyens was a friend of the chairman of Midland Bank, affectionately known as Ned and the Ned hotel takes its name from him.
Known for his classic designs, Edwin Lutyens drew on classic Greek and Roman architecture to design 27 Poultry and the Ned’s facade and interior remains impressive with exquisite columns, white marble, mullioned windows and archways, each precisely placed to create elegant beauty and symmetry.
The Poultry street name takes its name from the poultry markets which once sat alongside the city’s stock markets. The Ned’s prime location is a reminder of the market share Midland bank once had. With amalgamation into HSBC, the origins of Midland bank in the banking industry remain. Built to make an impression as the bank’s headquarters, today 27 Poultry remains a stunning building, renowned for its beauty both inside and out.
